Citizens Input Sought: Sustainability Week 2017 Community Brainstorm Meeting and Survey
Sustainability Week represents a decade-long partnership between the Town of Blacksburg, Virginia Tech, and Sustainable Blacksburg – a local citizens organization. Each year in September, the partnership puts together a slate of 20+ events held across the community and campus around local and global sustainability issues with the goal of helping more people adopt sustainability habits into their own lives.
This year’s planning team has created a very short online survey to gather community input on the topics and types of events Blacksburg’s citizens might want to see. Please take just a few moments and share your perspectives: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2HKBVD5.
In addition to the survey, there will be a drop-in community brainstorming meeting on Friday, June 23, from 12-3 pm at the Blacksburg Motor Company Building main conference room. If you had ideas for events or topics, or are interested in helping with the planning of this year’s Sustainability Week, please plan to attend this meeting. Questions or ideas can also be emailed to Carol Davis, Town of Blacksburg Sustainability Manager at email@example.com or by calling 540-443-1617.
